Jordan Engler, Caleb Collins, Rylan Hatlestad and Mitch Tollefson drew walks, while Kyle Baker, Fred Mansfield, Brandin Dahl and Travis Lamecker singled off NLS starter and loser Michael Arnold. Hatlestad, Mansfield and Dahl later scored on wild pitches before Engler capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly that brought in Tollefson.

That would be all the offense Kerkhoven would generate as Arnold and reliever Austin Nelson held the home team hitless for the final five innings.

Hatlastad also earned the win on the mound after trumping six walks with seven strikeouts and allowing only three hits in five innings of work. Dahl then struck out three during two scoreless innings of relief.

NLS got its lone run in the fourth when Arnold singled, advanced to third on a walk and a wild pitch, and scored on Tyson Gislason’s groundout.

Kerkhoven is at Morris today.
