LITCHFIELD -- The Willmar Legion team's four-run fourth inning erased a two-run deficit and then the offense really kicked in in an 11-3 victory over Litchfield on Thursday in the District 7 tournament.

Willmar plays Alexandria at 5 p.m. today -- the game originally was scheduled for 7 p.m. -- in the double-elimination tournament. Litchfield is eliminated.

Willmar's Patrick Courtney settled down after allowing three runs in the first three innings. He worked eight innings, allowing three runs on four hits and he struck out two.

Courtney and Dean Stier both had three hits, and Courtney helped his cause with a double and three runs batted in. Aaron Wiedemann also had two hits and drove in three runs.

Bryce Enstad and Damon Ruter both had a pair of hits, and Enstad and Jason Gunvalson also drove in runs.

Matt Spreiter had a double in four trips and Matt Hopkins drove in a run for Litchfield.

Morris 6, Montevideo 0

Morris Legion pitcher Jacob Torgerson threw a three-hit shutout as Post 29 downed Montevideo 6-0 on Thursday night in winners' bracket final of the District 7, Division II Legion tournament.

Morris, the tournament's top seed, landed a spot in Saturday's championship game while Montevideo plays Eden Valley-Watkins in an elimination game at 6:30 p.m. today. The winner of that game plays Morris at 11 a.m. Saturday in Montevideo.

Torgerson was on top of his game from the start and Montevideo helped out Morris by committing four errors. Torgerson worked all seven innings, didn't allow a walk and struck out three.

Morris scored twice in the first inning, added a run in the third and tacked on three insurance runs in the fifth.

Morris' Tanner Picht had three hits, including a triple and a double, and he scored two runs. Torgerson and Mac Beyer both had two hits, and Chandler Erickson and Beyer both drove in two runs.

Joe Bednar, Tanner Lindemann and Austin Hoehne managed Montevideo's only hits off Torgerson.

Eden Valley-Watkins 13, BOLD 11

A thrilling game going back and forth ended with BOLD leaving the bases loaded in the last inning, as Eden Valley-Watkins ousted BOLD from the playoffs 13-11 on Thursday.

Eden Valley-Watkins scored in every inning except for the last, and out-hit BOLD 14-12.

Stephen Kramer hit a solo homerun, John Boutsch hit a triple and Austin Berg went 3-for-4 for EV-W. Tyler Seehusen hit two doubles and drove in four runs for BOLD.

BOLD's Logan Sandgren pitched 3-1/3 innings and took the loss. He gave up eight runs on six hits, walked three and struck out five for BOLD.

EV-W starter and winning pitcher, Boutsch gave up seven runs on nine hits and struck out four.

BOLD finished the season 17-8. Eden Valley-Watkins plays the winner of the Morris-Montevideo game.
