Legion Baseball: Willmar clubs Tri-Town, 17-0

WILLMAR -- Tyler Brower's grand-slam home run in the bottom of the fourth capped a 17-0 win for Willmar Legion against Tri-Town on Monday in District 7 American Legion baseball.

The 13-hit attack also included three doubles by Austin Adamson. Adam Fagerstrom had a double, a triple and two RBI. Tyler Horning and Derek Loiselle also had two hits each.

John Sawatzky and Andrew Bangen combined on a three-hitter. Sawatzky gave up two hits and struck out four. Bangen allowed one hit and struck out four. Neither pitcher issued a walk.

Trever Heining had two hits to lead Tri-Town. Tyler Minnick had the team's other hit.

Willmar (5-1) next plays at a four-day St. Cloud tournament starting Thursday.
