SAUK CENTRE -- Eric Wolbeck drove in seven runs with a double, two singles and a three-run homer as Paynesville decked Sauk Centre 13-0 in Legion baseball on Monday.


Paynesville backed Shane Kampsen's two-hit shutout with a 20-hit barrage.

Wolbeck hit his home run in the second inning and had a two-run double in the fourth.

Kyle Schmidt also slapped four singles and drove in two runs for Paynesville. Aaron Savelkoul and Jason Kampsen had three hits each.

Shane Kampsen struck out seven and walked one.

A three-run homer by Dakota Freiborg in the first inning helped Sacred Heart outslug Minneota.

Freiborg finished 4-for-5 and struck out the side in his one inning of relief.

Phil Erickson earned the win, giving up two hits and three runs in three innings of relief. He walked five and struck out six.

Minneota's Dan Henne cut into the Sacred Heart lead with a two-run home run in the fifth inning. He also had a run-scoring single.

Kerkhoven (5-0) scored in bunches, with a four-run second inning and a five-run fifth.

Bryan Schlagel highlighted the second-inning surge with a two-run double. He finished with two doubles. Jordan Helms smacked a two-run single in the fifth. Justin Johnson added two hits and two RBI.

Aaron Zimmer worked five innings for the win, allowing four hits and four runs. Jonah Johnson finished with two hitless innings of relief.

Taylor Tollefson's two-run single up the middle of the infield ended an eight-inning affair packed with offense as Granite Falls scored three runs in the last inning. Both teams combined for 23 hits.

Tollefson ended the day going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI for Granite Falls.

Montevideo's Cam Vien jump-started his squad with a two-run homer in the first inning. He hit another single and drove in another run.

Dylan Lindstrom earned the win for Granite Falls. He allowed just one run in 3Xc innings of relief for Mason Hegna.
