Legion: BOLD drops two games in Morris

MORRIS -- BOLD dropped two games at Morris' Prairie Pioneer Days Tournament on Saturday.

BOLD won its opener on Friday night but then fell 4-3 to Spring Lake Park and Morris 8-3 on Saturday.

BOLD, now 14-6, opens the Legion playoffs against the winner of today's Tri-Town-Prinsburg game at 8 p.m. on Thursday in Bird Island.

Spring Lake Park scored three runs in the seventh inning to erase a 3-1 BOLD lead in the first game on Saturday, while Morris pitcher Sam Mattson quieted BOLD's bats in Game Two.
