Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty talks to newspeople outside his office just prior to midnight to announce that a budget proposal has been agreed upon between himself and legislative leaders at the State Capitol in St. Paul, Minn., on Sunday. Pawlenty called the Legislature into a special session at 12:01 a.m. Monday. The budget was later approved Monday morning.

ST. PAUL - It took more than 10 extra hours, but Minnesota legislators finally finished their most important job of 2010 and went home for the year this morning.
