BENSON -- Leo Melvin Anderson, 77, of Benson, died Sunday at Swift County Benson Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shepherd of Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls. Burial will be in St. Pauli's Cemetery, rural Swift Falls.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born June 27, 1931, in Camp Lake Township, Swift County, to Edward and Cora (Anderson) Anderson. He grew up in Camp Lake Township and attended school at District 13 through the eighth grade. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. When he returned home, he lived in Benson and worked at Anderson Ready-Mix, Grossman Plumbing and Heating and then for street maintenance for the City of Benson. He was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his siblings: Arnold (and Ruth) Anderson of Willmar, Eleanor (and Palmer) Pederson of Benson, Ernest (and Judy) Anderson of Glenwood, Rosella Anderson of Wayzata and Corvin (and Beverly) Anderson of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
