SPICER -- Leonard Miller, 87, of Spicer died Saturday morning at the Belgrade Nursing Home.
The service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hope Presbyterian Church in rural Spicer. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London and at the church Wednesday for one hour before the service.
He was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Hubbard, Neb., to Nels and Martha (Omvik) Miller. He spent his younger years in Nebraska, moving with his family to the Spicer area in 1934 and continuing his education at a country school near Spicer.
On March 15, 1944, he married Hazel Pearson. They farmed in the Spicer area and he later began working for Saulsbury's Antiques, Decathelineau's Construction and Duininck Brothers Construction.
He is survived by his wife; a son: Larry (and Donna) of Spicer; and a grandson.
