REDWOOD FALLS -- LeRoy "Trip" Triplett, 65, of Redwood Falls died Wednesday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Garvin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church and for will continue one hour prior to the services on Monday. Arrangements are with Redwood Valley Funeral Home of Redwood Falls.
He was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Lake Wilson to Marlo and Martha (Gilb) Triplett. He attended school in Garvin through the 5th grade and graduated from Tracy High School in 1962. He went on to Lee Barber School in St. Paul, and began his barbering career in 1963 in Mankato.
He married Sara Robinson on Oct. 16, 1965, in Garvin. They lived in Edina and, in 1973, the family moved to Redwood Falls where he owned and operated HIS Barbershop. He was a member of the Redwood Falls Assembly of God Church where he served as a board member, Sunday school teacher, men's leader, a royal ranger leader and as a small group Bible study leader. Since 2005, he had been a member of the Springfield Assembly of God Church where he served as an usher, greeter, and as chairman of the outreach committee.
He is survived by his wife; children: Mark Triplett of Wilmington, N.C., and Rebecca (and Mike) Bartz of Carolina Beach, N.C.; two granddaughters; his mother; and one brother: Merlyn (and Delores) Triplett of Brookings, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
