LeSeuer man hurt in boat crash on Lake Washington
DARWIN -- A LeSeuer man was taken to Hutchinson Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a Sunday afternoon boating crash on Lake Washington in Meeker County.
According to a news release from the Meeker County Sheriff's office, Alexander Floyd was driving a 1997 Bombardier XP personal watercraft that collided with a 2000 Sun Patio Supreme pontoon that was parked on a lift. The crash was reported at 2:46 p.m. on the south end of the lake.
Bystanders helped the injured man out of the water and assisted with his injuries before he was taken to Hutchinson Hospital. He was later transported to Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
Injuries included lacerations and a possibly broken leg. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and the crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office.
