Letter: Cast a vote for common sense
Nov. 4, 2008, requires a common-sense approach in the voting booth. I am urging all voters to vote and to use their common sense to do the right thing for our country.
There are two choices to be made:
1. Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in charge will bring big government, establish socialized medicine, bring our troops home just to send them out to Afghanistan without a victory in Iraq. They support illegal immigration, late birth abortions, higher taxes, and have questionable relationships. They will erode the work ethic by removing incentives in the work force. They will also have the opportunity to appoint liberal judges.
2. John McCain, who will reduce spending by vetoing pork spending, allow you to make your own choice of affordable health care, bring our troops home when victory is achieved in Iraq, encourage entrepreneurship, stop illegal immigration, stop abortions, especially late term, and promote a strong work ethic that lets you decide how to spend your money instead of the government. He will appoint conservative judges who will respect the Constitution and protect the general public from criminals and criminal acts.
Our Founding Fathers believed in a balance of power, not a monopoly of power. I urge you not to let big money and the media influence your vote. Use your own common sense. Vote for John McCain and Norm Coleman on Nov. 4 and preserve the balance of power in Washington.
