Letter: A chance to be constructive
The Tribune's recommendation of a "no" vote on the clean water amendment is sad and demonstrates a total lack of awareness.
Our state senators and representatives have left us with polluted lakes and an enormous wetland loss due to their inaction over the years. They have done a terrible job protecting the environment from pollution and drainage.
I don't like constitutional amendments either, but nothing else has helped, and it is time for the citizens who really care to try and do something constructive. Our politicians have talked a good game, but they do very little to really care for our environment. It's time to vote yes for the clean water amendment.
