Letter: Keep Super Bowl safe
Now is the time to huddle and make the call for a safe and sober ride to avoid driving impaired on Super Bowl Sunday.
Super Bowl Sunday has the potential to be a dangerous night on the road as friends gather to watch the game and celebrate. In the last three years over Super Bowl weekend, there were five traffic deaths, of which two were alcohol-related -- and only one of the five motorists killed was belted. During that same time period, 1,405 motorists were arrested for DWI.
A DWI is no five-yard penalty -- it's a serious crime that can put your life in very poor field position.
So don't drop the ball. Designate a sober driver -- or find yourself benched in jail.
