It was with a sense of pride that I read about the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg band and their journey to be in the Fourth of July parade in our nation’s capital.
Imagine that little Kerkhoven, tiny Murdock and almost microscopic Sunburg, having a band of that caliber to be in Washington for our nation’s birthday. (And they had to qualify to be in that parade — and they have been in that parade once before.)
And yes, I have heard them — they are good.
It brings me to the question of whatever happened to our big school, Willmar? As far as I know, Willmar doesn’t even have a marching band — and why not?
Well, anyways, hats off to our great group from KMS!
