It was actually nice to read a good story in the West Central Tribune on Dec. 7.
It is nice to know that there are good Samaritans in our surrounding community that were willing to help out Norman Rohner with his harvest during his time of illness. They didn't have to help him but they felt the need to help another farmer out and did what needed to be done.
It was also very nice that Dooley's Petroleum stepped up and went above the call of duty by providing fuel to those that helped out with getting Norman's crops in.
The elevator also stayed open to accept Norman's crops.
None of these things had to be done but this goes to show how caring and giving people are. This is a good thing that happened in west central Minnesota and I think we all could learn a lesson from this. Don't always think about yourself and be willing to help others around you. You never know when you will need their help in return, as Norman has found out this harvest season.
I would like to say thank you to all of you that helped out with Norman's harvesting.
