Letter: Looking for a handout?

TDS just sent me an e-mail saying, "TDS Telecommunications Corp. and other communications providers will begin vying for stimulus monies to expand their high-speed broadband Internet networks."

That's just great! It's great because I assume that since we are paying for the high-speed broadband with our tax dollars, as soon as they get the stimulus money TDS will be offering the service for free... right? They wouldn't charge everyone twice, would they? Why would a company be proud of the fact that they are getting in the bread line with everyone else looking for a handout?
