Letter: No help from the Tea Party

The Tea Party will be the downfall of this country.

President Obama wants to create jobs for the unemployed and the Tea Party wants to cut jobs. Why don't you hear much about how the Republican Party (Tea Party) would create jobs? They would rather see the president's rating go down and blame him for another recession that is really our past president's beginning.

The Tea Party has yet to say something about cutting their perks as government officials. If some of those programs weren't in effect years ago, Michele Bachmann's husband would not have had a business and she would not have supposedly had 23 foster kids without help from her government.

Programs need to be cut, cancelled, or changed, but not all in one session. Changes must be made, but start at the top if you plan on laying anyone off. Republicans are well known to be helpful to the rich on the backs of the poor and middle class.

The Tea Party has to start reading the tea leaves instead of smoking them. Don't complain about Obama's ideas if the tea leaves don't give them any ideas of their own. If the Tea Party wants to be seen as politicians of the people and for the people, they must get out from the shadows of the Republican Party.

The Tea Party wants to make this better, but you can't change happenings that have been going on for hundreds of years.
