Letter: Poetic license not appreciated
Bravo, Julie Johnson! Her letter (Public Forum, April 30) defines why we are not financial backers nor season members. It seems to us the poetic license the Barn Theatre has been taking is getting more vulgar and we do not appreciate it.
If we purchase season tickets and choose not to go to the objectionable ones, we are, in essence, supporting that show. "Sylvia" got past us and I agree the expletives were totally uncalled for.
I truly cannot imagine how the actors could have felt good about the vulgar language they used. We too have been embarrassed to have invited friends to be with us and consequently have not invited friends to join us at a production at the Barn. This is sad as the productions are well done and we want this type of entertainment in our community.
