Letter; Protecting the right to vote

Have there been any cases of voter fraud in Minnesota? Answer -- 0.009 percent. With only that tiny amount it is obviously not worth the amount of money it will take to put voter ID on the ballot. Why would anyone, specifically Sen. Joe Gimse and other Republicans, want to place it up for a vote?

Who among us wouldn't have a photo ID? Generally people without driver's licenses such as old folks and the disabled. Without that photo ID, voting would not be possible. Why would Sen. Gimse want to make it difficult for anyone to vote? That's a basic citizen right. Hey, could it possibly be that the people he is targeting are largely Democrats? Shame on you, Sen. Gimse! You should be protecting voter rights, not restricting them.
