Letter: Recovery is up to all of us
The news media tells us that the feds gave the large banks billions to rescue the housing industry.
Instead of helping out "Joe the plumber" with the threatened home foreclosures, the big banks cannibalized smaller banks to make themselves bigger.
Those responsible should be prosecuted and sit in jail with the Enron CEOs.
No one knows our future. All of us need to work together to get our economy moving again. That means you and me all the way to Washington and our new 44th president. This also means from our personal household budget to city, county, state and federal budgets.
We are all Americans first -- and it will take all of us cooperating, working together, to get out of this depression.
God bless America!
