Wednesday night I went to the Barn Theatre to "The Trip to Bountiful," and was very pleased with the play. It was an evening well spent!
The cast, especially the three main characters played by Bev Raske, J.P. Cola, and Stacey Neuhaus, were excellent. And the subject of this play is so appropriate for the audience in this part of the country, since we have so many extended families here.
It deals with how the elderly are cared for in our society, and how families relate to each other, and especially to the older members of the family. There was a standing ovation for the cast on opening night, and it was well deserved! I would recommend that anyone who has elderly parents, or is an elderly parent, see this show!
