Several weeks ago, I received a phone call from a so-called polling company. I usually don't participate in these types of calls, but for some reason, I did this one.
The questions were basically about Sen. Joe Gimse. I was surprised at the way the first question was presented, but I answered it and we went on from there.
After about the third question, I realized that this wasn't a legitimate unbiased poll, but nothing more than a smear campaign trying to disguise itself as a poll. I told the caller that I took offense to the way these questions were posed and that I fully support Sen. Gimse.
You'd think that politicians would know by now that we voters want to know where they stand on issues and not listen to the rhetoric of a smear campaign.
