Letter: The war without a cause
The greed-induced meltdown has created concern in all of us about our financial future. It has overshadowed the fact that for the past five years our country has been committed to the most tragic violation of human rights since slavery... the war without a cause.
Tens of thousands of people like you and me have needlessly died. Millions have been uprooted from their lifelong homes.
All of us have some of the blood on our hands for being sucked into believing it was the right thing to do, then sitting still for five years with little or no protest. Both the meltdown and the war manifest the degradation that has been taking over our society and system for many years.
Thank God we have retained the right to vote!
