Letter: The world's first regulations
The Republican Party, called by some "the party of no" or called by themselves "the party of tea," say that we don't need regulations in the business sector to assure that every citizen gets a fair shake.
I must say I find it rather odd that these religious conservative people have such a great faith in human nature.
Anyway, I suspect there already is a set of regulations that has been around for years. Nobody actually talks about them much anymore except religious conservatives, but those regulations are called the Ten Commandments and God even took the trouble to carve them in stone and made Moses carry them down the mountain, where, if I remember right, they were sorely needed.
Now, I believe I know the Ten Commandments by heart, but for the life of me, I can't remember and can't find, even in the fine print, the one that says, "Thou shalt protect your bottom line at all cost."
