Letter: Yes, it's still our downtown
In regard to the letter from Patricia Carter Harding, I am not sure what her comment about "what has happened to our downtown" was referring to.
I shop at Ray Peterson's shoe store, Elmquist's jewelry store, Dunlavy's store, and a Somali and Latino store. I like to walk the streets and see people outside sitting on the sidewalks and visiting and greeting me.
I enjoy Becker Market and appreciate Bethel Church and their outreach inclusive programs. I fee this is still "our downtown," meaning all the ethnicities I see there. We have buildings occupied with working and productive citizens sharing our wonderful city.
I hope this is what she meant.
