BELGRADE - Lettie S. Jensen, 95, of Belgrade, died Tuesday, February 12th at the Belgrade Nursing Home in Belgrade. Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Saturday, February 16th at Grace Lutheran Church in Belgrade. Burial will be in Crow Lake Cemetery, rural Belgrade. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday at Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. www.hafh.org.

Lettie was born on January 12, 1918, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Selma (Erickson) Dahl. When she was a young girl, her family moved to a farm near Kandiyohi and later to New London. She attended District #10 for her schooling.

On March 26, 1939, Lettie was united in marriage to Holger Jensen at his brother Miller Jensen’s farm. Following their marriage, they farmed near Belgrade.

She was baptized in Willmar and confirmed at the Mission Covenant Church in New London. Lettie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had been active with Ladies Aid and various Circles.

Her family remembers her talented hands and the ability to do needlework, painting and even did some upholstering. She also was a member of the Belgrade Senior Citizens.

Surviving are her children, Beulah Hendrickson of Gaithersburg, MD; Arletta Roberts of Stone Mountain, GA; James (and Judy) Jensen of Edmond, OK; seven grandchildren, Scott Hendrickson, Kyle (and Judy) Hendrickson, Daniel Hendrickson, Julie Kenneke, Rusty Bjork, Darin Bjork and Troy (and Kim) Bjork; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Lettie was preceded in death by her husband, Holger, on June 12, 1985; twin daughters in infancy, Leona and Lorna; brother, Wallace; and sisters, Violet Knudsen, Elsie Moore and Lilly Lake.
