WILLMAR -- Lewis Ledeboer, 90, of Willmar, formerly of Prinsburg, died Wednesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg. Burial will be in Holland Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Prinsburg to Garrit and Jennie (Ypma) Ledeboer. He grew up in Prinsburg and attended Central Minnesota Christian School. He moved to Grand Rapids, Mich., and worked for the Kelvinator Company. He joined the U.S. Army in 1941 and was stationed at Ft. Smith, N.H.

He married Grace Negen in Kittery Point, Maine, where they lived. He was discharged from the Army in 1946 and they returned to the Prinsburg area and farmed until his retirement in 1980. They traveled to Texas in the winters and volunteered at an orphanage near McAllen, Texas.

He was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church and was a past president of the church board, a Sunday school teacher and president of the church library board. He also served as president of the co-op board, vice president of the REA Board, president of the Tri-County Burial Association, president of the men's fellowship and served on the school board.

He is survived by his wife; children: Kenneth (and Mary) Ledeboer of Savage and Deanna (and Andy) Leenstra of Willmar; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: William (and Dorothy) Ledeboer of Prinsburg, Albert (and Phyllis) Ledeboer of Prinsburg, Henry (and Beverly) Ledeboer of Willmar, Ella Haan of Denver and Margaret Negen of Willmar.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
