MORRIS -- Lillian Belle Roberts, 97, of Morris, died Saturday at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
The service will at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Federated Church in Morris. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church and one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.
She was born July 11, 1911, in Delhi to Arthur and Stella (Bruner) Carbert. When she was 9, her family moved to Hodges Township in Stevens County where she attended school at District 8 and graduated from Morris High School in 1930. She attended the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris for a short time while completing a business course.
On Feb. 22, 1933, she married Floyd Roberts in Hodges Township. They lived and farmed east of Morris until 1952. They then moved to Morris and she began working in housekeeping at the Stevens County Memorial Hospital for 29 years. She also cleaned at the Medical Clinic for many years and worked at the Red Dot Café. Floyd died in 1985 and she continued to live in Morris, most recently at the West Wind Village in Morris.
She was a member of Federated Church in Morris and the VFW Auxiliary in Starbuck.
She is survived by her children: Harriet (and Joe) Rinkenberger of Morris and Lois (and Edward) Koehl of Hancock, Harvey (and Marsha) Roberts of Kirkland, Wash., and Herbert (and Marie) Roberts of Sammamish, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Charlotte Hanson; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; and four brothers.
