WILLMAR - Lillian J. Norsten, 88, of Willmar, formerly of Spicer, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar. Her funeral will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 1st at Assembly of God in Willmar. Burial will be in Spicer City Cemetery in Spicer. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Lillian was born in Watertown, South Dakota, on September 13, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Inga (Iverson) King. She grew up in Watertown until her freshman year in high school when her family moved to Willmar where she graduated from high school in 1942.

On November 29, 1942, she was united in marriage to Wendell L. Norsten. They lived in Willmar until the early 1970’s when they moved to their home on Green Lake. Lillian was a homemaker and eventually helped out at the family business, Rick’s Cycling. In 2004, Lillian moved to Prairie Senior Cottages.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially swimming at the lake. Lillian always looked forward to family gatherings.

Surviving are her son, Rick (and Wendy) Norsten of Spicer; grandson, Nathan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Amos Schwarzrock of Gibbon; Lynn (and Ruth) Norsten of Willmar; Dorothy Norsten of Willmar; Dennis (and Jean) Norsten of Coon Rapids and Margaret Norsten of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wendell in 2002; a son and daughter in infancy; siblings, Marjorie Larcom, Clinton and Wallace King, Helen Yoakum, Dorothy Kaasa and Dedo Schwarzrock.
