HAYWARD, Wis. -- Linda J. Blakeborough, 64, of Hayward, Wis., died Jan. 18 at HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg, Wis.
Services were held Friday.
She was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Clara City, to Robert and Alma (Meyer) Gerdes.
She married Barry Blakeborough on Dec. 2, 1967, in Bunde. She was a nurse, and was a head nurse in the Twin Cities before moving to the Madison, Wis., area. She was a nursing supervisor at Meriter Hospital in Madison for more than 30 years. She vacationed in the Hayward area before finally moving there.
She is survived by her husband; children: Megan (and Daniel) Tucker of Milton, Ontario and Ty (and Diane) Blakeborough; four grandchildren; her mother; seven siblings: Robert (and Karen) Gerdes of Bloomington, Warren (and Barb) Gerdes of Spicer, Mark (and Marcy) Gerdes of Montevideo, Scott (and Yvonne) Gerdes of Clara City, Dawn (and Bob) Haff of Montevideo, Joel (and Judy) Gerdes of St. Cloud and Sheldon (and Suzanne) Gerdes of Clara City.
She was preceded in death by her father.
