Litchfield man arrested on drug charges

LITCHFIELD -- A 45-year-old rural Litchfield man was arrested Sunday on several drug charges after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on his home.

According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Mike Hirman, John Lloyd Haring was arrested shortly after the warrant was served during an attempted traffic stop. The pickup Haring was driving left the road along County Road 34 near 300th Street. Officers witnessed Harring throwing items out of the vehicle. They were later recovered and identified as multiple bags of methamphetamine.

The warrant was served around 8:45 p.m. Sunday by agents from the CEE-VI drug task force and deputies from the sheriff's office. It came after a continued investigation into meth sales from the Haring residence at 31162 620th Ave.

Charges against Haring include third-degree and fifth-degree controlled substance charges and for storing drug paraphernalia in the presence of a child or vulnerable adult.
