Locals advised to take caution on flooded roads
Some area roadways are flooded as a result of heavy rainfall from thunderstorms Friday monring.
The National Weather Service advises people in eastern Stearns, Kandiyohi, northeastern Chippewa and northwestern Meeker Counties to take caution and monitor weather conditions.
Isolated three to four inch rainfall has occured in portions of Kandiyohi, Meeker and Stearns Counties, according to a report from weather.gov.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 4 p.m. Friday in Willmar with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. New rainfall amounts will result in less than an inch of rain, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.
Additional isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur before 9 p.m. Friday.
