RENVILLE - Lois Evangeline Virgene Bailey, age 76, of Renville, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville. The Rev. Paul van de Crommert will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Olivia. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville. Visitation continues on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church in Renville.

Lois Evangeline Virgene Bailey was born on July 1, 1936, Nora Township, Pope County to Albin and Elizabeth (Klabunde) Lindor. She was baptized on October 4, 1936, and later confirmed on May 20, 1951, at First Lutheran Church in Kensington, Minnesota. She attended rural school at District #50 and later graduated from Kensington High School in 1953. She continued her education at St. Cloud Teachers College, graduating on June 1, 1956. Lois was united in marriage to Thomas Bailey on June 8, 1957, in Raymond, Minnesota. They made their home in Blomkest, Minnesota and Lois began her teaching career there. In 1963, they moved to Olivia and lived there until 1989, when they moved to Renville. Through the years, Lois has also taught school at Morton Public Schools, Bird Island Public Schools, St. Aloysius Catholic School in Olivia, and St. Mary’s Catholic School in Bird Island. During the summer months Lois worked with the Minnesota Migrant Education Program. Following her retirement, Lois stayed busy working as a secretary at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the RenVilla Nursing Home and also with Lutheran Social Services Senior Dining. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville. She enjoyed reading, journaling, camping, Bingo, watching baseball, music, bird watching, and watching her grandchildren’s many activities.

Survivors include her sons and daughter: Ron (and Kim) Bailey of Olivia, Deb (and Steve) Hinderks of Renville, Tim (and Lisa) Bailey of Lake Lillian; her 9 grandchildren: Mik (and Jessica) Bailey, Monica (and Freddie) Ridler, Cam (and Kari) Bailey, Jon (and Tara) Hinderks, Jeremy (and Jackie) Hinderks, Jeff Hinderks, Christie Bailey (and fiancée Neal Strege), Brittney Bailey, and Tyler Bailey; her 14 great grandchildren: Avry, Brennan, and Laela Bailey, Madeline, Parker, and Rylan Ridler, Trae and Kyra Bailey, Kade and Holly Hinderks, Braylon and Mackenna Hinderks, and Tavia and Tiana Clanton; her brothers and sister: Ken Lindor of Cyrus, MN, Don (and Lorraine) Lindor of Morris, MN, and Darlene Kringen of Yakima, WA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Evelyn Lindor and Ione Amundson, and her brothers Ray and Les Lindor.
