Lois L. Manthei was born July 14, 1917 in Winfield, Iowa to Armendt and Ima (Bliss) King. When she was three the family moved to the Redwood Falls, MN area where she attended school through the third grade. Then the family moved to Renville County and she graduated from Renville High School in 1936. Lois especially enjoyed baking sweets..."just to be prepared if company would drop by". She had truly enjoyed being a farmer's wife and while in town she continued to mow her own lawn up until last year. Lois died peacefully at her own home on Friday, April 5, 2013.
