Long-range shooting fells Ridgewater men

HIBBING -- Following a blue-collar effort on Friday to spill Rainy River CC, the Ridgewater Warriors failed to punch in for work on Saturday.

Perhaps remembering an opening loss to these same Warriors, Hibbing CC piled on the listless (tired?) visitors for a 70-52 victory in MCAC men's basketball.

"We were a step slow and they came after us," said coach Bob Knutson.

After overcoming 19 treys in the 79-73 win at International Falls, the Warriors were hammered for 11 more three-pointers against the Cardinals.

It was the first loss to an NJCAA Division III opponent for Ridgewater (5-3).

Ben Moser scored 11 points and Casey Sussenguth supplied 10 points and 10 rebounds.
