Lornetta H. 'Nettie' Quenemoen Sept. 9, 1921 - March 6, 2009
BOYD -- Lornetta "Nettie" Helen Quenemoen, 87, of Boyd died Friday at Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield with a praayer service at 6:30 p.m.
She was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Raymond to William and Bertha (Schmitt) Buchholz. She attended school in the Raymond area.
She married Harvey Quenemoen on Sept. 8, 1942. They moved to a farm north of Boyd where they farmed until retirement. She sold Avon products for 40 years beginning in 1958. She involved in many Boyd community and church projects including the choir at Trinity Lutheran Church. She sold lefse for many years to individuals and through the local grocery stores.
She is survived by her two children: Lois (and Richard) Moen of Anoka and Carol Nelson (and Neil Olson) of Benson; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Bourne of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; her son-in-law: Curtis Nelson; five sisters; and two brothers.
