GLENWOOD -- Lorraine Daniels, 87, of rural Glenwood, died Sunday at her home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Villard. Burial will be in the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Research, 4550 W. 77th St., Suite 200, Minneapolis, MN 55435.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and for one hour before the service at the Church.
She was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Benson to Albert and Betsy (Berg) Bagstad. She graduated in 1939 and worked in a Benson area café.
She married Donald Reents in 1946. They lived on a farm near Villard. Donald died in 1967 and she went to work at the Glenwood Retirement Village in 1969 and worked there for 28 years until she retired in 1997 at age 75.
She married C. Harold Daniels in 1979. They farmed together until 1994 when they sold the farm and retired. They spent the past 10 years in Mission, Texas. She was a member of Villard and Grove Lake Lutheran Churches for 60 years.
She is survived by her husband; children: D. Gary (and Jane Reents of Villard, Randy Reents of Villard, Kathleen Reents (and Marty Hanbury) of Annapolis, Md., and Lisa (and Jeff) Lindquist of Maple Grove; stepchildren: Rick (and Stephanie) Daniels of Cranbrook, B.C., Carol Jean (and Michael) Hurley of Spokane, Wash., David (and Carol Louise) Daniels of Hayden, Idaho, Dennis Daniels of Glenwood, Debbie (and Wes) Medalen of Glenwood, Danny (and Val) Daniels of Alexandria, Dana (and Pete) Dutchak of Hastings and Dawn (and Larry) Berglund of Nelson; seven grandchildren; 21 stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 39 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister: Kathleen Klug of Garfield.
She is preceded in death by her first husband and seven siblings.
