MORRIS -- Louise Mae Eystad, 80, of Morris, died Friday at her home after a 20-year battle with cancer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Christian Mother's Rosary at 4:15 p.m. and a prayer services at 4:30 p.m., at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born on April 27, 1928 in rural Chokio to Thomas and Anna (Waldvogel) Leuthard. She grew up in rural Chokio and attended District 55 Marty Grove country school.
She married Donald Eystad on Oct. 7, 1947. Her jobs outside the home included the Chokio Creamery, Richard's Produce and Morris Public Schools.
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris and belonged to Christian Mothers and St. Elizabeth's Mission Group.
She is survived by her children: Deb (and Mick) Rose of Morris, Joe (and Nikki) Eystad of Morris, Dan Eystad of Morris, Steve (and Lisa) Eystad of Hutchinson, Dale (and Connie) Eystad of St. Michael, and Jay (and Nancy) Eystad of Park Rapids; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings: Helen Mickelson of Cyrus, Lillian Ritter of Chokio, Gen Mullin of Morris, Fran (and Phil) Zimmerman of Minneapolis, and Carl (and Jo) Leuthard of Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; three sisters; and a daughter-in-law: Lynette Eystad.
