MORRIS -- Lowell Anton Leuck, 88, of Morris, died Thursday at West Wind Village in Morris.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Burial will be at a later date. Morris American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AmVets will provide military honors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. and prayer service at 7:30, at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, and for one hour before the service at the church.
He was born June 21, 1921, in Woonsocket, S.D., to Mathias and Katherine (Arnes) Leuck. At a young age, he moved with his family to the Morris area. He attended one year of school at the West Central School of Agriculture. He worked on a farm in the Morris area for a short time. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He returned to the Morris area.
He married Darlene Hunt on Nov. 29, 1958. They lived in Dallas and Kansas City. He retired in 1997 and they returned to Minnesota.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris.
He is survived by his wife; children: Allyn (and Raina) Leuck of Independence, Mo., Mary Ireland of Shawnee, Kan., Darla (and Rick) Kelsey, Sue (and Bob) Oswald, and Dale Leuck, all of Overland, Kan.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister: Irene Smith of Magnolia, Texas.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
