Madison man killed in farm accident
MADISON -- Keith Hastad, 58, of Madison, was killed Monday in a farm accident in rural Madison.

According to the Lac qui Parle Sheriff's Office, emergency personnel were called around 8 a.m. Monday regarding a man stuck in a grain bin. Hastad was found submerged in corn in the bin. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is under investigation by the sheriff's office. Assisting agencies included the Madison fire and ambulance squads, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Bellingham Fire Department and numerous neighbors.
