Fifth Street will be closed from 500 feet south of Willmar Avenue Southeast to 19th Avenue Southeast.

The project calls for construction of the wearing course on the new section of street located east of the Kandi Mall. Traffic will not be allowed in the construction zone. Traffic control will be in place Thursday through Friday.

Motorists may encounter minor delays. The city is advising motorists to slow down for their safety and the safety of others. Weather permitting, the city anticipates the project will be completed within two days. The prime contractor is Duininck Inc. of Prinsburg.
