Man ejected from vehicle in roll-over

GRANITE FALLS — A 28-year-old man was transported by North Memorial Air Care for injuries suffered after he was ejected from a vehicle in a roll-over accident at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday in Yellow Medicine County.

Dean Nething was not wearing a seat belt when the 2003 GMC SUV that he was a passenger in rolled multiple times on 570th Street south of 120th Avenue, southeast of Wood Lake, according to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Department.

Briana Nething, 28, was driving the vehicle southbound on 570th Street South. She was transported by ground ambulance. She was not wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol and excessive speed are believed to have been factors in the accident, according to the sheriff’s department. It remains under investigation.
