According to Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner, residents along Farmcrest Road reported Thursday that their home had been broken into and money and food were missing. They checked a machine shed and found that that was also broken into. It appeared that someone had drank beer that was in a heated office in the shed and may have spent the night there.

The citizens also reported there was a man walking along the road, who was identified as Charles Aaron Regan. He was in possession of beer, money and other items consistent with what was missing from the home.

The Paynesville Police assisted with Regan's arrest.
