According to a news release from the Starbuck Police Department, an officer saw Kevin Richard Lopez around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at a gas station in that city. The officer knew Lopez was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant.

After he was told he was under arrest, Lopez allegedly got back into his vehicle and fled north out of Starbuck. The ensuing pursuit continued for 15 miles at high speeds before Lopez was stopped and arrested. His vehicle was towed.
