Man not seriously hurt in S.D. hunting accident

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- Authorities say a hunter was shot in the face, arms and legs with pellets in an accident in northeast South Dakota's Faulk County.

Game, Fish and Parks officials did not immediately identify the 69-year-old man from out of state. Conservation officer Tim McCurdy tells the American News in Aberdeen, S.D., that the man was treated at an Aberdeen hospital and released after the incident Tuesday afternoon.

McCurdy says the man and another hunter were walking a field, trying to flush birds, when one flew between them and the other hunter fired his gun.
