BENSON -- Margaret Anna Hilke, 90, of Benson, died Wednesday at Golden Living Care Center in Benson.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, with a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born July 28, 1918, in Lamars Township near Fairmont, N.D., to Albert and Josephine (Becker) Lehmann. She attended rural school in Lamars and Fairmont.
She married Leo Herman Hilke on May 12, 1943, in El Paso, Texas. They lived in Fairmont, N.D. In 1950, they moved to Ortonville and together operated Hilke Produce. Later she worked as a cashier at the Red Owl grocery store. In 1959, they moved to Benson and she worked at the Red Owl and Super Value grocery stores and at the Benson Produce. She was a member of the St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Kathryn (and Patrick) Walsh of Murdock and Mary Hilke (and Pat Roberts) of Andover; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Lucille Keller of Paynesville and Roger (and Verna Mae) Lehmann of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, one sister and three brothers.
