WILLMAR -- Margaret Mae Leaf, 84, of Willmar, died Wednesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
She was born July 10, 1925, in Redwood Falls to Oscar and Lillian (Walter) Marks. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar Public Schools in 1943. She attended a business college in Minneapolis and worked in California as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II, before returning to Willmar.
She married Roger "Doc" Garman in 1950. They lived in Willmar. She worked as a waitress for John's Supper Club and the Elks and was a secretary for Dr. Hinderaker and the Willmar Credit Bureau.
She married Roland Leaf on Jan. 3, 1964, in Webster, S.D. They lived in Willmar.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2334 Auxiliary, serving as secretary for many years.
She is survived by her husband; children: Ginger (and David) Akerson of Tower, Kim Garman of Duluth, Karen (and Jody) Patten of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Kristin (and Brian) Schlegel of Blomkest; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother: Robert Marks of Beauford, N.C.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
