Marie K. Croonquist May 28, 1917 - June 20, 2009
KANDIYOHI -- Marie Katherine (Erickson) Croonquist, 92, of Kandiyohi died Saturday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Tripolis Lutheran Church in rural Kandiyohi. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born May 28, 1917, in Willmar, to Carl Edward and Amanda Caroline (Noid) Erickson. She grew up in rural Willmar, attending District 39 School in Fahlun Township. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1935.
On Jan. 1, 1942, she married Arnold Croonquist in rural Kandiyohi. They lived and farmed in Fahlun Township until 1949, when they moved to Kandiyohi. She was a homemaker and worked part-time at various jobs.
She was a member of the Senior Citizen's Club in Kandiyohi. She was a lifetime member of Tripolis Lutheran Church and was active in the Sunday school, WELCA, quilting committee and various other church activities.
She is survived by her husband; children: Karen Croonquist of Plymouth and Ruth (and Craig) Aurand of Kandiyohi; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
