Marion J. Rueckert March 10, 1922 - May 22, 2009
LITCHFIELD -- Marion Jean (Kurzhals) Rueckert, 87, of Litchfield died Friday at the Dassel Lakeview Ranch in Dassel.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Litchfield United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements are by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home of Litchfield.
She was born March 10, 1922, in Forest City, Iowa, to Theodore and Louise (Bahr) George. She moved with her family to Crow River in the 1920s, received her education in Litchfield and graduated from the Litchfield High School in 1940.
She married Edward Kurzhals in December 1945. She Marion was a school cook in Litchfield for more than 25 years along with being a homemaker. She was widowed in 1988 and, eight years later, married Wes Rueckert.
She was a member of Litchfield United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women's circle.
She is survived by her children: David (and Jean) Kurzhals of Medford, Ore., Janice Burke of Denver and Bob (and Mary Ellen) Kurzhals of Rockford; a son-in-law: Orlan Cervin of Darwin; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Ed Kurzhals in 1988 and Wes Rueckert in 2003; a daughter: Lauri Cervin in 2002; two brothers; and an infant sister.
