WILLMAR - Marjorie D. Pritchard, 99, of Willmar, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Grace Home in Graceville, Minnesota. Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. www.hafh.org

Marjorie was born on November 27, 1913, on the farm near Chrisman, IL, the daughter of John and Laura (Cannoy) Whitaker. At the age of 15 months, her family moved to a farm near Rembrandt, IA. Her first four years of schooling was in a country school with the remaining at Rembrandt Consolidated School. Marjorie graduated in 1931 as valedictorian of her class. She remained at home and helped on the farm.

On September 4, 1935, she was united in marriage to Walter Pritchard in Belmond, IA. They farmed in Sioux Rapids and other areas in Iowa before moving to Graceville, MN and to Brooten in 1967 where they continued farming. Later they moved to Atwater and in 1971 they moved to Willmar. Marjorie worked for Habicht’s Department Store for 17 years before retiring in 1984. She also was a volunteer at Rice Memorial Hospital.

Her family remembers ability to bake including her wonderful apple pies. She always gardened and was a great seamstress as well. Marjorie was an extremely hard worker and her children are thankful for the many lessons their mom taught them.

Surviving are her children, Gail (and Floyd) Fuhrman of Graceville; Allen (and Kathy) Pritchard of Cassville, MO; Burt (and Linda) Pritchard of Gordon, WI; Kathleen (and Jim) Felch of Alexandria; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter on September 3, 1979; four brothers, four sisters, a grandson and a great grandson.
